Ordering and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any delivery charge is shown before payment. When money is due, your card is authorised through Stripe first; the order becomes confirmed only when the selected slot and, for delivery, the courier booking are validated and payment is captured. We will not prepare an order that is shown as unconfirmed.
The minimum order is five qualifying meals or breakfasts. Drinks, cheesecakes, protein balls and extra portions are priced separately and do not count towards meal-package pricing.
One valid discount code may be used per order. Codes apply after meal-package pricing and discount food and extras only; delivery is not discounted. Codes may be restricted by customer email, expiry date or number of completed uses. A code that makes the food total £0 still requires a completed secure checkout, but Stripe will not collect payment details when nothing is due. A cancelled or refunded order does not automatically restore a limited-use code; contact us if you believe a use should be reinstated.
Collection and delivery
Every order requires at least 24 hours' notice. You must collect from the cafe selected at checkout: Liverpool at 23 Carruthers Street, Liverpool, L3 6BY, or Wirral at Unit 2, Arrowe Commercial Park, Arrowe Brook Lane, Wirral, CH49 1AB. Liverpool collection is available every day. Wirral's first collection date is 05/09/26 and collection there is available Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Only the available slots shown at checkout can be booked. If the selected cafe is closed, go to reception and press the call button.
Delivery is not currently available. We plan to introduce chilled delivery to Liverpool and Wirral only after courier testing is complete. When launched, the website will confirm whether an address is covered and show the delivery charge before payment.
Repeat orders
Repeat orders are optional and “Buy once” is always the default. They are available only for eligible collection baskets containing exactly 5, 8 or 10 qualifying meals. You choose collection every week or every two weeks at the same cafe, weekday and time.
Your first full basket is paid at checkout. Before you consent, checkout shows when Stripe is scheduled to begin processing the first repeat payment and the collection it covers; the card charge may complete shortly after that time. From the second collection onward, the complete saved basket receives 10% off and Stripe charges the displayed discounted amount automatically, normally about 48 hours before collection. The saved basket includes the selected meals, extra protein portions, drinks, protein balls, cheesecakes and other food extras. Any discount code used on the first basket is for that basket only and does not repeat or stack with the 10% repeat-order discount. We do not silently replace an item. If a selected item or slot cannot be supplied at its agreed price before payment, that collection is not charged or created and future repeat billing is stopped. If Stripe has already taken payment before the final availability check completes, no kitchen order is created and future billing is stopped. After the exact payment and repeat cycle are verified, the system attempts a full automatic refund to the same payment method. We show whether Stripe is still processing it, has confirmed it or needs team review; a refund is not described as complete until Stripe reports success.
Before the next repeat payment we send an operational email with secure links to skip that order, move it to a later available collection slot, cancel future repeats or update the payment card. A move applies only to that next collection, must be later than the original slot and must remain before the following collection in the normal repeat schedule. The email links open a review page and do not change anything until you confirm. Requests must be made before the payment and preparation cutoff shown on that page. Once a repeat order has been paid, skipping or cancelling future repeats does not cancel or refund that already-paid order.
If a repeat payment fails, no meal order is created for that collection. Updating the saved card applies only to future repeat payment attempts and does not create or restore the missed collection. A future meal order is confirmed only after its payment succeeds.
You may cancel future repeat payments at any time before the next cutoff. Stripe securely stores the reusable payment method; Empowered Eats does not receive your full card number.
Food, allergens and care
Check the allergen information on each product before payment and tell us about any concern before ordering. Our kitchen handles multiple allergens, so contact us if cross-contact may be significant for you. Ingredients and processes can change; the label supplied with your food is the final information for that batch.
Keep products refrigerated, follow the use-by date, storage and reheating instructions on the individual label, and refrigerate delivered food promptly.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. Because fresh meals are perishable, the usual change-of-mind cancellation right for distance sales may not apply. If preparation has not started and no non-recoverable courier cost has been incurred, we will normally cancel and refund the affected amount. Once preparation or delivery has begun, a change or refund is not guaranteed.
This does not affect your legal rights if food is faulty, unsafe, not as described or not supplied with reasonable care. Send the order reference and details to empoweredeatsuk@gmail.com as soon as possible.
Problems and responsibility
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If a problem cannot be resolved directly, the courts available to you under consumer law will have jurisdiction.
